About
Now in pre-production at Warner Bros Studios, Robert has joined forces with legendary film producers Paula Wagner and Stephanie Allain to produce the first major motion picture based on the enthralling life story of Sylvia Robinson — founder of hip-hop’s first label, Sugar Hill Records. Sylvia is commonly referred to as “the mother of hip-hop” and produced the very first hip-hop record, “Rapper’s Delight”. The film, written by Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip) will tell the tale of the race to produce the first rap record, an historic episode in the life of a remarkable woman whose legacy remains fundamental to contemporary music today.
